CBR is a first generation company established in 1992 by Gary J. Chagnon. Gary has been committed to all aspects of the construction industry for over 14 years. He started CBR as a one - man operation, doing primarily siding and renovation projects in his spare time. Eventually, the demand for his quality reputation became strong enough for him to resign from his weekly job, hire a crew, and commit himself to running his business in a full-time capacity.

In 1993, after a year of growing success, he extended his services into the custom homes market. Although Gary had hands-on experience building several homes while employed by other contractors, in April 1994 he completed his first custom home under the name "Chagnon Building & Remodeling". His secondary education in residential and commercial building design allows him the ability of foreseeing potential structural conflicts that can be resolved quickly and efficiently prior to the building process.  Thus, there is seldom a need to backtrack and fix mistakes that were not previously recognized. Gary's outstanding working knowledge of the design and building process lead him on the path of achieving his certification as an Energy Crafted/Energy Star Home Builder, as well as becoming an active member of the National Association of Home Builders in 1995.

Gary personally supervises and inspects every construction site to ensure his standards are being met. He puts his customers first by providing a complete range of services. Whether you bring him a set of blue prints, just preliminaries, or ideas, he will provide you with an estimate of what your project will cost. His state of the art computer software allows him to determine the exact price of your project according to the information you provide.  He takes the time in advance to evaluate every detail in order to avoid numerous extras later.
